Spring. It’s the season for college graduations, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day… and So Cal auto shows! If you’re a car enthusiast, you have no shortage of opportunities to show, buy, sell or trade classic cars and parts… or just to look and admire them!

On May 3 and 4th, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles hosted a Mustang Madness weekend, featuring the exhibit “Mustangs Forever: 50 Years of a Legend.” The exhibit runs through mid-October and, if you’re a Ford fan, it’s not to be missed.

Tomorrow, May 23rd, you can view a collection of classic French automobiles, including Bugatti, Delage, Delahaye, Hispano-Suiza, Talbot-Lago, and Voisin at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard. MAM is only open on select days, and you need to make a reservation ahead of time. If you miss this in May, you can try again on June 14th.

And there are multiple shows to choose from this coming Memorial Day weekend. Some local favorites include Cars and Coffee in Irvine, or Donut Derelicts in Huntington Beach, both on Saturday, May 24th. On Sunday, May 25th, the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club is hosting their 49th Annual Car Show, and our friends over at the BCOIE Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club will be hosting  the 40th Annual La Palma Meet, an all Studebaker car show and parts swap.

Need something to do before your backyard BBQ on Memorial Day? Head out to the San Diego Cool Expo to buy, sell, or swap classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

Of course, all of these shows lead into the West Coast’s largest Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show on June 1st. Thousands of classic cars from across the country will be on display, some for sale and some just for show. And with 2,700 vendor spaces full of parts and accessories, there’s a good chance you’ll find something you need for your current project! Come to buy, come to sell or come to look… and bring the whole family for a great day out!
