1967 427 Corvette Engine

This engine was purchased in 1968 as a replacement for a blown 1966 427. The block is dated c-6-7 with a 351 casting. The heads are 1968 840s. The exhaust manifolds are off the original 66 car and are dated November 1965. The rods are floated 7/16 this engine was run less than one year before it was pulled and been stored since 1970. This engine has never been dissambled until late last year when I pulled it down to check it out. Orig slotted screws in the oil pump. Factory GM head gaskets. Paint markings on the rods and crankshaft are as bright as the day it left the factory. The engine was ordered and built this way at GM. They don't look like L88 pistons, but are floated with big bolt rods. Has never been stamped and has the original factory machining marks on the deck. Has the original balancer and pullyeys. 1968 dated intake. A small block LT1 was put in the car in early 1970, and the flywheel, distributer, carb and aircleaner was transferred to that. Orig 66 oil pan, valve vovers and AC breathers.
