Desirable One\u2019s So Cal: A Legacy on Wheels<\/strong><\/h5>\n
We\u2019re excited to welcome Desirable One\u2019s So Cal as the Featured Car Club<\/em> at the upcoming Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show on August 10, 2025! With deep roots in Southern California’s mini truck scene, this legendary club has been rolling strong for nearly four decades.<\/p>\n
The Beginning of Something Desirable<\/strong><\/h5>\n
Desirable One\u2019s was founded in February 1986 by Tony Tapia and a tight-knit crew in Huntington Park, CA. What began as a group of friends cruising their hometown quickly gained momentum as their tricked-out mini trucks with lifted hydraulic beds started turning heads. Known for their energy and innovative style, they became a staple at car shows and hometown parties across SoCal.<\/p>\n
Their buzz caught national attention when Lowrider Magazine relaunched in 1988, choosing to feature Desirable One\u2019s on the cover of its very first issue. From that moment on, the club cemented its place in custom car history as one of the most respected and recognizable names in the mini truck world.<\/p>\n
Passing the Torch, Growing the Legacy<\/strong><\/h5>\n
As the years went on, leadership of the club evolved. After Tony Tapia stepped back, Victor Cabrera took the wheel and brought a new level of discipline and dedication, helping the club grow even stronger. Eventually, Victor passed the torch to current president Hugo Tenorio, who proudly carries the legacy forward.<\/p>\n
At its peak, the club reached nearly 50 members, becoming a true force in the car scene. Today, though the numbers are smaller, the heart, passion, and family spirit run deeper than ever.<\/p>\n
More Than a Car Club \u2013 A Community Family<\/strong><\/h5>\n
Desirable One\u2019s is more than chrome and hydraulics. It\u2019s a family-oriented club, where generations ride together. Some members are now grandparents, proudly bringing their grandkids to events, keeping the tradition alive and passing on the values of craftsmanship, culture, and community.<\/p>\n
The club gives back in powerful ways. From toy drives for kids in need to fundraisers across local neighborhoods, Desirable One\u2019s plays an active role in supporting the communities of Boyle Heights, East LA, Commerce, Pico Rivera, and Whittier.<\/p>\n
A Growing Presence<\/strong><\/h5>\n
The Desirable One\u2019s family now extends beyond California, with a chapter based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they continue to honor what the original members started back in \u201986 \u2014 a bond built on cars, culture, and connection.<\/p>\n
