Many of you already are aware of the passing of legendary automotive artist Dave Bell who left this earth to draw hot rods with the angels on May 5^{th<\/sup>.\u00a0 You might not recognize the name, but you sure do know his art.\u00a0 Dave Bell\u2019s famous hand-drawn cartoon art has adorned Pomona\u2019s flyers, advertisements, t-shirts, posters, web pages, and many more items related to the event for the last 30 years.<\/p>\n}

Dave had been drawing for George Cross since 1980.\u00a0 His unique style and vast knowledge of our industry made his pieces exceptional and fun.\u00a0 \u201cDave\u2019s art, with the cool cars and the cast of characters that he integrated into each piece, always made me feel like that\u2019s a place I want to be. The people are happy and excited and very much enjoy the classic car surrounding them. His art represented well what the Pomona Swap Meet is all about: cars, parts and people having a good time in Southern California,\u201d states George Cross, president of George Cross & Sons, Inc.<\/p>\n

Dave had been drawing hot rod and automotive art for the past 50 years.\u00a0 His pieces have been enjoyed by auto enthusiasts across the globe. Dave will surely be missed, yet his art will continue to enrich our office and garage walls with the whimsical classics and hot rods we would all love to drive.<\/p>\n
