Some things are worth devoting a lifetime of pursuit to\u2014things that are lasting, that represent much more than they seem, and that fuel the future. At least we believe so, and that is why we have devoted nearly 40 years of our lives to the Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not everyone gets it. And we’re cool with that because those who do get it really get it. There is something special and lasting about hunting through a pile of old rusty relics to find that one piece, reuniting it with the vehicle for which it was intended generations before, and being the person to bring a piece of history back to life.<\/p>\n

Does it matter what kind of vehicle? Not really. We all have our loves, whether it is a long board hauling VW Bus or a cool cruiser. What matters is the passion behind it, and the desire to keep that little bit of history alive and well within our society.<\/p>\n

Nothing compares to the classic and antique car obsession. Nothing. From Brass Era beauties to muscle cars, there is just something about the gleam of the metal, the smell of a warm engine, the feeling of history, and the sense of bridging the generations. You just can’t help feeling good knowing that someone once stood smiling over the very same vehicle, feeling that same sense of pride and awe that now has you grinning like a teenager.<\/p>\n

That kind of devotion deserves a very special forum of opportunity, and that is what drives our passion to devote so much of our lives to the Pomona Swap Meet and Car Show. Classic cars are more than a mere hobby. They have a special place in our society that cannot be replaced with anything else. Cars are integral to our way of life; they are style, function, fuel and fun. Every vehicle tells a story about our lives individually and collectively, so meeting collectively for a blow out event just makes sense.<\/p>\n
