The Blue Chip Series.

1957 GMC Series 100 Suburban Pick-Up Truck.

Model 101-8 347 CID V-8 Pontiac 4-Speed Hydra-Matic and a Spicer 45 with 390's.

One of the Rarest Trucks ever made.

With all of the numbers floating around out there these days on the net  no matter how you add them up the ratio ranges from
15 to 1 up to 25 to 1 for every Chevrolet Cameo built to every GMC Suburban built.
For every 100 Chevrolet Cameo's built there were less than 4 GMC's built.
For every 100 Chevrolet Cameo's built there were less than 7 GMC's built.

I would love to get some concrete numbers on this someday. I remember reading years ago that GMC's 1957's production numbers  were the lowest of the 55-57 run with 1957 right around 175. Someone on  the internet has claimed that, "the records were destroyed by fire but  certainly they made under 211 each year". {Circa 1999} According to the  Cameo Suburban Carrier Club, GMC produced the Suburban from 1955  through 1957 with total production at 631. Now this jives with what I remember. Now, 2018 I see a new set of numbers on the net and it’s  another guess form Chevrolet. No matter how you slice it the 1957 Suburban  truck is the rarest of the rare and then you add into the equation the  factory ordered paint. This very well could be one of a kind.

Special Order Factory Paint. Instead of Seminole Brown and Dover White,  This was Special Order Aztec Copper and Polo White. A 1957 Corvette Color.  The firewall is still Aztec Copper. In 1988 the body shop screwed up and painted  it out of the PPG book the factory Seminole Brown color.

99% Rust Free. Complete except the hood emblem, the old timer would not let this go and a door mirror glass.  The seat is not original and it will need window glass. There is a huge story behind this I will get into later.

I have known this truck since 1970.
The motor and transmission are a fresh rebuild from 1988. With all new parts.  Brand new valves, valve springs, push rods, camshaft, pistons etc. It was  done right. The truck has sat in a carport from 1988 until 2006 when I brought it inside.

The truck is sitting high in the pictures because it's on jack stands.

Hemmings, Hagerty and Nada Price Guides options do not include the  1957 GMC Suburban Pick-Up Truck. It’s that rare. And since it’s extremely  rarer than the Chevrolet Cameo the pricing should reflect that.

If you’re interested in this truck, look up Cameo prices and then  make me an offer. I would possibly be interested in trade for a  late model fuel efficient car or truck and I don't freak out over salvaged titles.
