One of a kind for sale. A true West Coast classic. No accident history It does not currently run, the Engine needs rebuilding. Pink is available no DMV fees due, registered non op.

Please read all the post it will answer most all your questions. Asking for the best offer over $1,000. Private party sale can inspect the car on the weekends. or between 4:30 and 5:30 weekdays.

A true California Car. One family owner. Original White paint on newer White leather with newer coral carpet, newer white headliner and newer white Landau top. (originals were duplicated) (Seats, Carpet, headliner and Landau top replaced in Y2K?, not driven much since then.) The door and moon roof rubber are newer. Otherwise vehicle is all original.

My Mom drove off the showroom floor from the Buick dealer on Topanga Blvd in Woodland hills in 1978.

There is enough space for a 455 Olds with headers, a high rise intake mounted with a Thermo Quad , I had it fit up in this comfortably. I have a custom transmission support to allow the use of dual exhaust and headers (never had it running just a fit up).

Some extra parts to go with the car along with, "Buick 75 years of Greatness" catalog, original Owners Manual, Original Consumer Information pamphlet.

An internet search on 4-16-19 did not turn up any 1978’s for sale on the west coast. A couple were found in central region and on the East Coast. A couple up for auction this or next month somewhere in the USA

The Buick Riviera was GM’s first entry into the prestige niche as a personal luxury car it was produced from 1963 to 1999. The 1978 was the last of the rear wheel drive versions.

AS production for this generation only lasted 2 years and adding the fact that the 1978 was the last of the rear wheel drives makes this a very desirable collector car.

Or with the fact that it can take a monster 455 Olds engine and newer 6 speed transmission a Sunday driver might be where your are at?.

There were 8 separate generations of the Riviera model, which does not include the two concept models in 2007 and 2013.

The 1978 Riviera and 1977 were produced on the GM B Body platform and was the fifth generation of eight Riviera’s. Wiki has 10.5k+ 1978 Riviera's produced? (that's about 28 a day at only 1 of 2 plants?) But the GM B Body platform had been used for many GM models and there are many suspension / brake and drive line parts still available.
